Let Your Yoga Dance is an opportunity to BE YOU, because it is for EVERY body. There is no skill or experience necessary, and there is no right or wrong way to do it!
How I came to love Let Your Yoga Dance
I feel extremely fortunate to have been trained in Let Your Yoga Dance by the Founder, Megha Nancy Buttenheim. I attended a course called "Crafting the Resilient Life" at Kripalu in early 2014 and decided to attend "noon dance" during my workshop. As the Universe would have it, "noon dance" happened to be led by Megha that day. It KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF!! I was instantly hooked. I returned later in the year for the 100 hour training and became a Certified Let Your Yoga Dance Instructor in November of 2014. I am extremely honored (and excited) to be able to share the gift of Let Your Yoga Dance with others.
In 2016, I added to my love of Let Your Yoga Dance with a most wonderful year of Yoga Teacher Training through Sacred Seeds Yoga School. I am deeply honored to have received my RYT 200 and to have been in the presence of the amazing Jacqui Bonwell, Katie Beane and Amy Sedgwick. Their teaching is BEYOND spectacular! The history, depth, beauty and accessibility of Yoga continues to amaze me, and I'm proud to be a lifelong learner.
In the early spring of 2017, I was most honored to add Let Your Yoga Dance for Special Populations to my world. With the movement primarily in chairs, this amazing practice can be brought to the elderly, those working with cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and to ANY population where standing or more active movement can pose a challenge. Let Your Yoga Dance is TRULY for every BODY and my heart explodes with JOY to be able to share this with others.
The later spring of 2017 brought opportunities to assist Megha Nancy Buttenheim in two programs at Kripalu, one in Yoga and Meditation and the other being Module One of Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher Training. I am reminded each and every day of the blessings of LIFE, and how the integration of Let Your Yoga Dance, Yoga and Meditation heal the soul. Endless gratitude to all of my teachers for their profound inspiration, my transformation, and for the reminder that these practices are accessible and possible for ALL.
